Vigitron Inc. introduces its new VI1050 Video Balun for sending Video,
RS-422/R-S485 data and camera power over a single Cat-5 cable for
distances up to 1,000 feet (330 mts). Quality video can be achieved at
distances up to 3,000 feet (1,000 m) when it is used with Vigitron active
UTP receivers. The VI1050 has built-in surge suppression to protect video
equipment against damaging voltage spikes. Its exceptional noise immunity
ensures quality video signals. It can be used in pairs for small-scale
installations or in conjunction with VI1051/52 for larger applications.
The connection to Cat-5 cable is through an RJ-45 connector. Provided
connectors are: a BNC for video; a set of terminal blocks for data; and a
set of terminal blocks for power. The VI1050 is an ideal CCTV component
for structured cabling environment.
